About Tri-Cities Cider House

Tri-Cities Cider House first opened its doors in Richland, WA, in 2020, and we’ve been having a blast! This establishment has just landed in the motivated, vivacious, enthusiastic, and community-focused hands of its new owner, Wendy Sample, as of July 2025.

Wendy has always had a love of beer, with West Coast IPA’s being her favorite style. Wendy learned a lot about craft hard ciders when her husband, Monte, went gluten-free for two years. Wendy loves exploring different beers and ciders which led her to visit many establishments throughout OR, and WA.

Through the many taphouses, cideries, and breweries she and Monte visited, she began dreaming of her ownership of a taphouse to run during her short stent while living in Portland, OR. Finally, in 2025, she took the opportunity and purchased the Tri-Cities Cider House.

Beyond that, Wendy also wanted to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, to include their beloved dogs. A place for the community and visitors alike to feel like they are home, away from home. Wendy has put a lot of thought into her vision, with the help of family and friends. For that exceptional experience for her guests, whether you’re here to kick back with friends, playing games, bringing in your favorite meals or snacks, or sitting with your computer to do some last-minute work, all the while trying out a new Cider flavor for the first time or enjoying the ‘oldie but goody’ flavor you love. For the beer lover, Wendy has added 6 additional taps to rotate NW Beers with 2 already there! In total, Tri-Cities Cider House boasts 11 Cider Taps, 8 Beer Taps and a single NA Rootbeer for those that don’t want alcohol.
